I *LOVE* to cook, and as per my family traditions, I am a mountain and southern cook at heart. I love using fresh ingredients (no "cake doctor" for me, or use of mixes or anything like that...), and especially love using farm fresh produce (occasionaly grown by me, mostly from my parents and mother in-law) and meat and eggs from local farmers.
My other interests are mountain music (especially fiddle music and banjo), flatfoot dance, all things appalachia, anthropology, running, hiking, being outdoors, farming, and hogs.
